My Hobby Arsenal
Every person has a hobby, and so do I. I have a lot of hobbies. These hobbies are what set my soul free and make my heart sing with joy. These are also the things I used to do when I felt like I wanted to escape reality. Let me write it down for you, from my least favorite to my most favorite hobby.
(5) Digital Illustrating
This would be my least favorite hobby. By favorite, I mean something I love doing but do it rarely. I started digitally illustrating when it was pandemic out of boredom. I actually didn't know that I was capable of this. I think capable is the right word because I'm really not good at it, but I sincerely love doing it.
This is also my second least favorite because I stopped doing calligraphy when I was in 10th grade. Way back in grade school, I always joined lettering contests and was glad that I'd always been consistent in winning the first prize, yet I stopped when I transferred schools when I was in 10th grade. I think my enthusiasm for calligraphy slowly faded when I went to transfer schools every time. It made me less focused on calligraphy.
(3) Astrology
This is the third, because I love reading astrology. I think, as for me, being into astrology allows a person to be more objective in understanding a person's character and recognizing individual talents and potential, and it gives opportunity for emotional and spiritual maturation. This may not resonate for everyone, but it does for me.
(2) Journaling
This is my second-favorite hobby. Journaling is totally comforting. As someone who doesn't like speaking up in person or as someone who bottles everything, whether it be negative or positive, I would always prefer journaling my thoughts and opinions. I think bleeding on paper has no judgment. Not that ranting or telling people what you feel will cause you judgment, but it can happen sometimes, and that is the thing I am afraid of. Also, I don't want people to see how thoughts run through my mind, so I suggest not saying anything to anyone.
(1) Reading
This is my most favorite hobby of all. I read books every day because it's the most relaxing thing ever. Cringe as it may sound, but reading has helped me escape the real world.
So there you have it, my dear reader, a glimpse of my hobbies. All of us have a hobby to share, and I hope you find this amusing and that it makes you want to try it too. Remember to let yourself explore, create, and allow yourself to be swept away by the things that make your heart sing.
