Kdrama Review: Twenty Five Twenty One

Recently, I've just finished watching this kdrama, "Twenty Five Twenty One." This was recommended by my friend, who already warned me that this kdrama might break me into pieces, but that didn't stop me from watching it; instead, I was more excited to watch it. I know you didn't ask, but I really love dramas with no happy endings. Anyway, I would rate this kdrama 4 stars. It delivered with a sprinkling of sunshine and a whole lot of feels.

Na Hee-do, the female lead, is a hurricane of sunshine in human form. Her reckless spirit is infectious, and her determination to chase her fencing dreams is downright inspiring. She's like a ray of light, brightening every scene she's in. Then there's Back Yijin, the handsome reporter with a heart of gold. He's got that quiet strength that makes you swoon, and his unwavering support for Na Hee-do is just a chef's kiss. Their relationship is amazing because they support each other at all times, and their support reaches wherever they are. But let's be real; it's not perfect. Communication gets lost in translation, priorities clash, and life throws curveballs. The twist is that after all their lovey-dovey scenes, they didn't end up happily ever after. Their breakup might sting a little, but it makes sense. They were both so lost in their own worlds, their emotional needs unmet. And honestly, being in a relationship that drains you instead of recharges you is not a good look.

Twenty-five Twenty-one isn't just a love story, though. It's a coming-of-age tale that throws punches at life lessons. It taught me to chase my dreams, even when the world throws rocks at me. It reminded me that life is mine to live, and I don't owe anyone anything except to be true to myself. So, if you need a kdrama that isn't just about love lessons but also life lessons, this one is a must-watch.
